The German producer price indices for pine pointed in varying directions in May 2023. On average, the index for log wood increased by 0,4% to 93,6 points. B qualities reached the level of 111,3 points ( 1,7% ), to which 3/4 m lengths contributed with -0,4% to 104,6 points.
C qualities in May reached 89,4 points ( -1,3% ). B/C qualities reached 82,4 points ( 0,6% compared to the previous month).
For spruce pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 124,7 points (2,75%). Pulpwood of pine reached 125,9 points ( 0,0% ). Douglas fir pulpwood reached 85,5 points ( -0,7% ). The softwood pulpwood index arrived at 122,2 points ( -0,3% ).
