The German producer price indices for oak again showed a heterogeneous course in May 2022. On average, the index value for log wood increased by 0.6% to 128 points. A-Quality increased by 2% on the previous month to 97.1 points. B quality recorded an increase of 0.2% to 130.9 points. 3m lengths decreased 1% to 124 points, while 5m lengths fell 0.4% to 150.2 points.
C ranges increased by 0.5% to 136.3 points. 3 m lengths contributed to this with an increase of 0.4% to 140.7 points. 5 m lengths increased by 1.6% to 138.9 points.
Year-on-year the index for oak logs increased by 13.5% - that for A-quality by 11.6%. B-Quality exceeded last year's value by 13.4% with an increase of 12.2% for 3m lengths and 20% for 5m lengths. C ranges saw a 14% increase and industrial grade gained 17.4%.
